About Playtech: Global Leader in Online Gambling Technology
Playtech is the leading platform, content, and services provider in the online gambling industry. We deliver technology, software, live dealer products, and analytics to more than 180 licensees across over 40 regulated jurisdictions. Our work supports operators in retail and online environments under a clear B2B model. NZ players reach our pokies and live games through licensed local casinos that hold our content. Our team builds the engine that powers some of the most recognised gambling brands worldwide.

Our History and Growth
Playtech started in 1999 with a small team and a focus on casino software for an emerging online market. The original product set covered classic casino games and the underlying platform technology. The company grew through the early 2000s alongside rapid growth in the online gambling sector.
The 2006 IPO on the AIM market marked the next phase. Playtech is listed on the London Stock Exchange and gained access to capital for product investment and acquisitions. The company moved to the Premium listing on the Main Market of the LSE in later years, which reflected the scale and maturity of the business.
The next two decades brought rapid product expansion. Playtech added live dealer products, sports betting platforms, bingo software, financial trading systems, and full operator services. The company built or acquired studios across multiple jurisdictions. Today, Playtech operates 17 live studios globally, with three in the United States and the remainder spread across Europe and other licensed markets.

Strategic Direction
Playtech is a focused B2B technology business with a clear medium-term direction. Three strategic priorities drive our growth plan.
We focus on regulating and regulated markets, with a strategic emphasis on the Americas. The US market offers an addressable opportunity of $32 billion across iGaming, online sports, and platform services. Latin America runs on strong structural growth drivers, with active agreements in Mexico and Brazil.
We invest in targeted product areas to drive growth. Live Casino represents a key vertical, with 17 studios globally and a doubled table count over the past five years. The «Live from Vegas» partnership with MGM Resorts International expanded in August 2025.
The third priority covers operational efficiency. The streamlined structure supports faster decisions, lower duplication, and more responsive product development.
